Residual Continuum

Terms of use

Last updated 1 October 2026

Residual Continuum is an open archive of films and case pages that weigh historical mysteries against the evidence. By using the site or our films you agree to these simple terms.

What the archive is

Every case gives a graded verdict, from Established to Ruled out. A verdict is our reading of the published evidence on the date shown; it is not a final demonstration and it can change when the evidence does. Matters of faith are never rated. Films and pages are researched and written with AI assistance, checked against the sources they list, and narrated by a synthetic voice. Drawings and reconstructions are schematic.

Using our work

You are welcome to watch, share and link to our films and pages, and to quote short passages with a credit to Residual Continuum and a link to the case. Please do not republish whole films or pages as your own or alter them in a way that changes their meaning. The sources we cite belong to their authors.

No warranty

The archive is offered for education and discussion, as it is, without any warranty. We work to be accurate, publish corrections openly, and welcome reports of errors through the site. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the archive.

Our social media accounts

Our films are also published on our accounts on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, where each platform's own terms apply as well.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. Questions are welcome through the contact form on the site. Privacy is covered on the privacy page.
